If she knew that you grieved,
'twould dim this day in Paradise for her.
Hold to your faith, be done with weeping,
for are you all not in God's keeping?
'Tis true, she dwells in sunshine, bright,
while you must plod on through the night.
But thank God for the joy you knew
in all the time she walked with you.
And let hope wipe away your tears;
be grateful for those golden years.
